ART LEAGUE OF RHODE SLAND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS' EXHIBIT

Wednesday, April 1 - Friday, May 1, 2009
Opening and Awards Reception: Sunday, April 5th from 1-3 pm.

Each ALRI associate member will have 1 piece of artwork exhibited. Each exhibitor is asked to bring 2 pieces of artwork to Gallery 297 during receiving. Carol FitzSimonds, Gallery 297 curator, will be there to help each artist select the strongest entry. Over $250 in cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded. Award judge to be named.

Hand delivered only Friday, March 27th 3-6pm, Saturday March 28th 10am-1pm. Open to all New England artists. Gallery 297, 297 Hope St. (located on the second floor of Green River Silver Co.), Bristol, RI (401-253-5005).

Work eligible: any original oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, printmaking, photography, drawing medium, mixed media, or sculpture created in the last 3 years not previously exhibited with ALRI. All art must be for sale. Only hand-delivered work. All artwork must be properly framed, wired and ready to hang. If work is matted - only neutral colors - white, off-white, cream, or light gray. No colored mats, no clip on frames or sawtooth hangers will be hung. Sculpture weight limit of 30 pounds. Maximum Size 2-D work including frame: 36” max in either direction. Commission on sales is 35 % with 10% going to the league.

Entry Fee: No entry fee for ALRI Associate Members. Any artist from any state is eligible to become an ALRI associate member. The Associate Membership Fee is $45 for the year and entitles the artist to all the league privileges - monthly email newsletter, invitation to all league events, a yearly exhibition, and discounts on league workshops. Artists will be able to join the league during receiving at Gallery 297.
